I Fear Too Little
This is my desperate call to you WalMart bane of society. I had an hour to spare to stroll around your store and buy a pen. Yes I understand that I can be incredibly picky, black ink only, not too skinny, not too fat. But as I found the aisle with writing instruments, there it was an entire wall, 7 rows high, with each row gluttonously brimming with pen euphoria... There were a ton of options. But Walmart, I just wanted a pen! I spent 10 minutes at least grazing the field and picking my prey, noncommittally reading each package comparing the 'features' and qualities. A young high school girl with a shiny purse... that shiny object distracted me for a few minutes while I regained my composure. The girl turned the aisle, I closed my eyes, and grabbed for the first object my stretched hand could find. Sometimes too many options are bad, its just too much. The WalMart wall-o-pens? My personal hell. As the saying goes, "Simplicity is what counts, but that doesn't mean details don't." BTW greeting card stores, movie rental stores, restaurants, and places that sell wine; the same goes for you too.
Speaking of wine. The Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon is on the top of my list right now. Go out and buy some for yourself, I have nothing to complain about it.
